Agricultural Mechanics
In the Agricultural Mechanics program, students will gain experience in maintaining outdoor power equipment, agricultural equipment, some automotive and heavy equipment, all-terrain vehicles, and lawn mowers. The agricultural industry relies on specialized equipment to cultivate land, produce crops, and raise livestock. An introduction to welding, hydraulics, and machine work is also included.

- Saint Francis University, Francis Worldwide – 6 credits for an Associate’s degree, 12 credits for a Bachelor’s degree.

NOCTI
- Pass your written assessment to recieve your recommended credit waiver at the Awards Ceremony.
- 3 credits – Recommended to be awarded in Small Engine Technology or General Technology. 1 to 2 additional credits may be awarded based on successful completion of the performance component with the written proficiency exam.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Strong math and grade level reading skills are required.
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
A CareerTech blue or gray t-shirt is required. In addition, the following CareerTech items may also be purchased: Mechanic shirt, crewneck sweatshirt or hooded sweatshirt (no strings), or flannel. Uniforms may be ordered online or purchased at the school store.
Dark blue or black work pants (i.e., Dickies) or jeans without holes. No baggy clothes or shorts are permitted.
Work boots (steel toes not required)

Mr. Anderson is a CareerTech alumnus of the Agricultural Mechanics program. Following graduation, he started a local agriculture repair business where he has worked over 10 years in the industry. He is a certified ASE Master Technician.
