SCHOLARSHIPS
2012/2013

ART INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIPS
Students who will attend the Art Institute may apply for a variety of scholarships for majors in culinary arts, fashion design/marketing, graphic design, interior design, media arts, etc.  Information is available at www.AiCompetitions.com

IMAGINE AMERICA SCHOLARSHIP
FCCTC will select three students to receive the Imagine America Scholarship of $1000 which is available to students attending certain technical institutes as well as career colleges.  The ten page list of participating schools can be reviewed and the application can be obtained in the Counseling Office.  The application must be completed and returned to the Counseling Office no later than April 12, 2013.

THADDEUS STEVENS LEGACY AWARD
Seniors who will attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology may apply.  The FAFSA form must be completed after Jan. 1, 2013.  Further details are available in the Counseling Office or at www.stevenscollege.edu; click on Prospective Students and then Financial Aid.
Amount:  Varies
Deadline:  April 1, 2013 (deadline for the FAFSA)

CHRISTIAN CONNECTOR SCHOLARSHIP DRAWING
Seniors who plan to attend a Christian college may enter a scholarship drawing at www.christianconnector.com

HAGERSTOWN COMMUNITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

DEVRY UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS
Seniors who will attend Devry may apply for these scholarships.  Visit www.devry.edu

BIGSUN SCHOLARSHIP
All senior athletes may apply for this scholarship. A short essay is required.  Stop by the Counseling office for details.
Amount: $500-several could be awarded
Deadline: June 21, 2013

WILLIAMSON FREE SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
The Williamson Free School offers free tuition, room and board for three years.  A documentary about their program may be a viewed at www.williamson.edu/admissions/documentary.htm
Amount: $100,000

CAEA SCHOLARSHIP
The Chambersburg Area Education Association will select a CASHS senior to receive this scholarship.  The applicant must be entering college as an education major.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
Amount: $750 – two awards

MY MAJORS SCHOLARSHIP
Seniors may sign up for a $500 scholarship at http://www.mymajors.com/mobile-brc.cfm or www.mymajors.com/read by registering to receive information from various post-secondary schools.

MY MAJORS GIFT CARD

THE PA FOUNDATION-PASSHE SCHOLARSHIPS
There are scholarships available for seniors who are residents of Franklin County and plan to attend one of the 14 universities that are part of the PA State System of Higher Education.  Apply online at www.pafoundation.org.  Click on Scholarship Opportunities to view the scholarships and list of universities – M &T Bank, Highmark, etc.
Amount: $1000

DALE BOCK SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Chambersburg seniors who plan to pursue a career in math or math education or attend a technical institution and pursue a math-related field may apply for this scholarship.  Applications are available in the Counseling Office.
Deadline:  May 17, 2013 

PCRA VIDEO CONTEST
The PA Court Reporters Association wants students’ help to create a video that can be used to inform and educate students and others about careers in court reporting, captioning, and Computer Access Realtime Translation.  These are professions that can make over $100,000 a year. Students should create a 3 to 5 minute video suitable for posting on YouTube and/or PCRA’s website to showcase what court reporting means to them.  For more information, including contest entry form, rules and contest deadlines, go to www.pcra.com .
